SIKO is a newly developed training model to practice taking of blood samples and making intravenous injections. It replaces the need for living animals.

This new model fulfils the main criteria for animal friendly laboratory work (reduce, refine, replace) and has been awarded by the Swiss Laboratory Animal Science Association (SGV) in 2010.
